Splish Splash..

Some days, I just love a rainy day.  Today is one of them!  Now if I could just be at home with a good candle lit cleaning or organizing.  I love to do those things on rainy days.  Most people like to lay around and watch movies.  I think I'm this way because I remember as a kid on rainy days my mom would deep clean the house or reorganize cupboards and drawers... as much as I hated those days as a kid, I look back and miss them now.  I stumbled across a picture on Pinterest that is exactly what I plan to do.  We have a dresser in our guest room that looks almost exactly like this.  I'm going to re-paint it and put some knobs like these on.  I also love the accesories in this picture!

Have You Been Introduced?

For all you mothers and expectant mothers, have you met Petunia?  Petunia Pickle Bottom is her name.  And here is her website.. http://www.petunia.com/  She has thee most adorable diaper bags!!  While the price tag on them may not be as adorable as the bag itself, this one here might have to be another one of my splurge items.

Nursery Inspirations

I've been putting alot of thought in what our nursery is going to look like, this is the fun part!  I just got my Pottery Barn Kid's magazine in the mail this weekend, there are so many cute ideas in there!  One thing that I have decided on for sure is to go with an off white crib.  We went to the furniture mart awhile ago and took our first look at the cribs.  We found one we love, for a mere $700.  After putting more thought and research into this, I found a very nice and cute crib off of Craigslist that I plan to refinish myself.  Since I've decided on off white, it will be very simple to find used furniture and refinish ourselves.  I love doing these kinds of things, or should I say I love having Jarrod do these kinds of things. Bahahaha! I do have a couple items that I would like to splurge on in.  One of these things is a Pottery Barn glider and ottoman.  This one here isn't the exact one that I'm looking for but close to what I'm looking for.

The colors that I want to do in the nursery are grey and white, with either boy or girl accent colors, here is one picture that will be inspiration.

15 Weeks

Hi everyone!  I'm not sure about you guys, but I'm ready to say bye, bye to February and hello to March.  My Spring fever is running pretty high these days.  I need to update you all on how the pregnancy is going!  It couldn't be better!  One exciting thing from this past weekend is, my friend Megan lent me her Fetal Heartbeat Doppler.  For those who don't know what this is, its basically a little hand held radio with a stethoscope that allows to hear the baby's heartbeat.  It's been rather addicting listening to that tiny little heartbeat in there.  There is not a more comforting sound, just when I got home from work I couldn't help myself and laid there listening to that tiny heartbeat of about 158 beats per minute.  I can say I feel 100% back to my normal self, except for this tummy of mine.  I'm hoping one of these days it will start to look more like a cute baby bump instead of just a bloated gut.  I really need to put the anxiety of gaining weight behind me, that's probably been the worst thing I've been dealing with.  I've been trying to eat better (not an easy task) and getting myself to the gym.  Everyone keeps telling me how they think I'm just going to have a cute little basketball for a belly, but all I can do is picture myself looking like I've gained 50 pounds with swollen...well, everything.  I've already decided that Keith Urban's song "Long, Hot Summer" is going to be this summer's theme song.  We go in for next appointment on Friday, and I can't wait to hear how every thing's going and to see if everything is right on track.  I will let you all know! Tootles! Jenna xoxo

....

Happy Friday!  It’s been a long week, I’m so ready for the weekend!  I told you I would update you on our 12 week appointment on Monday.  Everything went great, and we went public with our news!  I was floored by all the “congrats” and “likes” that I got on Facebook.  We are blessed with so many great friends and family! J  It’s so nice to not have to hide it anymore, and be able to talk freely about it with everyone.

I hope everyone has fun plans for the weekend!  My weekend is jam packed.  Tonight I’m hitting the town for a “girl’s night.”  My role will be the DD, it’s going to be a new experience! Haha! Tomorrow I’m heading to Lincoln to do everything from hair and nails, lunch with a friend, visiting my Grandma who unfortunately is in the hospital once again (prayers for her please!) and between all that, trying to fit in some other stops.  And then on Sunday I’m going to head to Omaha with my mom and aunt, and hopefully Jarrod, to go to the Home and Garden Show at Century Link.  I feel exhausted already.  Until next time, have a great weekend and stay warm! Mama Mio

I'm praying and hoping these products will save me from the dreaded stretch marks through this pregnancy.  I heard about this product through Kourtney Kardashian's twitter.  She said that these products, along with other "must have" pregnancy products saved her in her last pregnancy!  I plan on ordering the body butter and the oil.
Here is the link to these products, http://www.mamamio.com/us/

I’m SOOO excited Friday has finally arrived!  It’s been an exciting week.  Wednesday I turned 26, that sounds so weird to me!  At first I was a little bummed about turning another year older, but then I thought about my life and where I’m at.  I have nothing to complain about!  I have my bachelor’s degree, I’m married and now our first child is on the way.  When I was young I always thought I would get married at 23, have my first kid by 25.. well that didn’t happen but I wasn’t too far off.   Life is good!  I’m happy to be 26, it’s better than the alternative!  On my birthday I made my announcement at work, it was so much fun!  I brought baby pink and blue cupcakes and pickle roll up’s.  I told my two co-workers, Jean and Arlene, to come over and look at my cupcakes and they screamed with excitement followed with hugs, questions and laughter.  It was perfect!  It’s weird now that it’s out, because it was such a secret for how long.  But it’s so fun to be able to talk about with everyone and get advice from the girls who have recently had babies. J

I was excited to go back home this weekend, along with the rest of my family to hang out for my birthday.  My mom was going to make our favorite meal we had growing up, chicken and gravy.  Also on Sunday morning the Tarnov mass is for my grandma and uncle, so we were all going to go to church, then go out to eat after and go bowling after.  BUT Mother Nature has decided to pay us back for all those nice days we just got, and give us a snow storm.  You know what they say about pay back… ;)  So instead I will probably clean the house and Jarrod will be out all day and night pushing snow.

This Sunday is also Super Bowl Sunday!  I can’t wait to curl up on the couch with some good food and watch the… commercials.  I could honestly careless about the game.  I’m in it for the commercials and half-time show.  I don’t know even really know whose playing.  I do know the Giants are playing and that’s only because I follow all my New Jersey housewives and they have been tweeting about it all week! Haha! They could be playing against the Chicago Bulls for all I know… ok, I’m really kidding.   Well I hope everyone has a great weekend and are all prepared for the “Storm of the Century.”  I will tell you all about how my 12 week appointment goes on Monday, can’t wait!  Go Bulls! ;)  Jenna xoxo
